DHMC Birthing Pavilion Display

It's been in the works for a couple of months now and has finally come together. Three New Hampshire photographers were chosen to hang portraits of their work in the birthing pavilion at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, New Hampshire. I am blessed to be a part of this great selection of photographers. The project was spearheaded by Emily Stein Anderson of Hanover. The other photographers involved were Jessica Giovagnoli of Beltrami Studios in Enfield, NH, Allison Gaulin of Alli Gaulin Photography in Littleton, NH and myself. It was so fun and such an honor. And so comforting to know these new mums coming to deliver their babies will have some beautiful images to inspire them.

Little Miss A - 3 Months

So this is little A at 3 months. Such a cutie and so sweet natured. I only hope she continues to charm the pants off everyone she meets. She's almost to the giggle point. Can't wait for that to happen. Such a fun time for everyone. Congratulations again K family! We just adore her. Her very talented mummy made her adorable hat! Love it!

Couldn't decide on color of b/w of the first one.

Twin Valley Youth Hockey

Some of you may remember a post I did probably close to this time last year about Twin Valley Youth Hockey. Well, the same can be said for this organization one year later. I just love them. This is our third year with TVYH and as long as we live in this part of the country and our kids show an interest we will continue to participate in their programs. Right from the start we had fantastic experiences. We first met Stephanie Schnell on sign up day and lucky for us, this was the first of many wonderful people we got to know and interact with over the next few years. The warmth and caring attitudes of the people who run TVYH is just incredible. Our kid's coaches continue to impress us with their ability to teach the kids what they need to master in order to move ahead. So thanks Twin Valley. We think you're great. And for those of you in the Claremont, Upper Valley area who are thinking of getting your kids involved with ice hockey click here.
Here's couple of images of our son Peyton having fun at Learn To Play.

I think maybe CCM needs to thank me for this promo! Haha!

Overload!

One of the great things about being a photographer and a mum to 3 young children is that you never run out of opportunities to use your camera. The major downside of that is the extreme number of images you end up with. I've been examining ways to get this under control but as of yet, I haven't found anything that comes even close to a good solution. What that means is when I look through my digital folders I often find raw images that haven't even been processed yet. Here's a couple taken of Bella back in August right before my dad passed away and my world was turned upside down. No wonder they got forgotten and left on my hard drive somewhere.

My Kiddos

I was holding out posting these as they were from my Christmas Card session and until my cards are mailed out I don't like to spoil the surprise. Kind of defeats the purpose of my extreme postage bill! I usually can't narrow down my Christmas Card to just one design so I make up a couple. These were some of my faves from our session.....After 2.5 years, I finally got some images of the kids together that I just adore. For those of you not in the "know," it's sooooooooooooo much easier photographing other people's children!!!!

Head Shots

This winter season has brought on some different types of experiences for me and my business. One of them is the opportunity to do some work for some corporations both locally and out of state. And I must admit it's been a welcome addition to my portrait business. I was approached by a business to do headshots for it's newest brochure. It was so much fun. And always good to hear from people who when they walk in they say that they hate having their picture taken, that they really like it!. So for now, here's two of the images of the company's director!

Long Time Coming

First up - I want to wish all my blog followers a Happy Belated Christmas and New Year and thank you all for your following during the past year. It's been a great ride!

Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted a session. It was a busy but lovely holiday season for my family. I have been busy with......life. Nothing overwhelming in any particular category, just busy with three kids. Chris was home for the break which made things extra special, and so much easier. But busier. But fun. Especially since he just completed a 2 week stint on the road recruiting. So with all this going on I felt the need to do something special.

I can pretty much shoot my kids whenever I feel up to the task. And I love to do it. But it's a rare occasion that both Chris and I can actually coordinate things for both of us to be in the images together. This year I intend to change that. I have networked with two great photographers here in town and have arranged to swap sessions whenever we need them, or have a desire to do them. I am so excited. Not only to have the professional contact but to also document not only my children growing up but us growing older together. We had a very small wedding back in 1995 and although we had a great photographer, I didn't really know too much about what I wanted in terms of images. So this break, I wanted for us to get some images that basically represent us and our love for each other. And although I now have way more crease lines in my face, and I'm certainly carrying way more weight than I want to document, I feel it is now more than ever that I want to capture us together. So I got together with Beth from Beth Rexford Photography in Newport and developed a session just for us......if we got one family image that I loved then I was happy but this was mainly just for the two of us. And turns out I got both. So these images were taken by Beth (who is outstanding!) and I did the editing and post processing. I am so thrilled and so grateful. So here goes......starting with my favorite family image ever!!!!!!
